Reading this site means accepting the terms below. They cover what our verdicts are, how recorded figures should be treated, how the work may be reused, and where our responsibility ends.
Everything published here is criticism. A score summarises a judgement formed by specific people playing a specific build on a specific configuration, and reasonable readers will disagree with some of it. Nothing on this site is a warranty about how a game will behave for you or about what its developer will do next.
Session lengths, round durations, acquisition rates, load times and performance measurements describe our bench during the period stated in the piece. They depend on hardware, drivers, network conditions, account state and the exact build tested, all of which vary. A figure accurate for our configuration may be wrong for yours, and a figure accurate last month may be wrong now because the game has changed again.
Where we report that an economy shifted, we are reporting what our recorded data shows across the stated period. Where a developer disputes our findings, their response is published alongside them. Neither our data nor their statement should be read as a finding of fact about intent, and we do not allege deliberate concealment unless a piece says so explicitly.
Brief quotations in reviews, videos, articles and discussion are welcome provided Patchline Weekly is credited and the quotation is not edited so as to reverse its meaning. Reproducing a full piece, translating one without permission, or using this site's text as training material for commercial machine learning systems is not permitted.
Scores may not be used in advertising, on storefront pages or in any promotional material. Our numbers are attached to a named build and a date; a figure separated from both misrepresents the review completely.
All illustrations, photographs and the site glyph used here were produced for this publication and remain ours. Names of games, studios, publishers and hardware belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and critical commentary only. No affiliation with or endorsement by any of them is claimed or implied.
Nothing here is for sale. This publication runs no storefront, no paid tier, no membership, no donation link and no advertising inventory, so no transaction of any kind can occur between us: no order, no payment, no refund, no delivery. Any message claiming to do business in our name is somebody else's.
This site is provided as it stands. We do not undertake that it will always be reachable, that older pieces will remain online indefinitely, or that every internal link will survive a future reorganisation. Pieces may be revised, corrected, merged or withdrawn at editorial discretion, and tracking files may be closed or reopened as circumstances require.
So far as applicable law permits, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on anything published here, including purchases you later regret and decisions taken on the basis of our recorded figures. A verdict is an input to your judgement, not a substitute for it.
Some pieces cite material hosted elsewhere. Those sites are somebody else's responsibility entirely — we cannot guarantee their accuracy, their permanence or their conduct, and from the moment you follow the link their terms apply instead of ours.
Because this publication tracks games that keep changing, this page changes too. The version displayed at the moment of reading is the one that binds, and continued reading after an update counts as acceptance of the updated wording.
Nothing above is intended to strip you of statutory protections. Where the law where you live grants rights that cannot be waived by agreement, those rights survive these terms intact, and every other clause applies only to the degree that law permits.
